When Shruti asked me if I was would like to review an Ayurvedic product,Silksplash Rehydrant Face Wash, I willingly agreed.Over the last few years, I have been using Ayurvedic products, especially for skin care. They are gentle on the skin and do not have any side effects. But not all are pure ayurvedic. One has to be careful while buying products that claim to be free from chemicals.A face wash is an integral part of a healthy daily skincare routine and using the correct product that suites one’s skin type is an essential part of a beauty regimen.When I received the Silksplash Rehydrant face wash by Just Herbs, I was pleasantly surprised. It came in a new “Avatar”, smart and savvy! From an earlier version of a plain bottle with a golden cap, it changed to a smart bottle with a pump dispenser.Wow! One plus point, THE LOOK!
Just Herbs -claim that their products come from a line of “pure, bespoke and Ayurvedic results-driven skin and hair care “range,made from “certified organic and wildcrafted ingredients”collected from across India.Their products do not have Sulphates, Parabens, GMOs, bleaching agents or any other carcinogenic or harsh chemicals.
Silkplash Rehydrant Face Wash – Neem and Bitter Orange- The Product.
Just Herbs,best-selling iconic face cleanser, Silksplash, is a gentle Ayurvedic face wash with a faint aroma that removes dust, grime and make-up, while retaining the inherent moisture of the skin.

The bottle comes with a label about its country of origin,precautions relating to the use of the product and other official details.
The Ingredients:
Neem ext 0.5%, bitter orange peel ext. 0.5%, aloevera leaf juice 2%, honey 1%, calendula ext. 0.5%, cucumber ext. 0.2%, chandan ext. 0.1%., purified water (aqua), steam distilled sandal wood water, steam distilled orange blossom water, decyl glucoside**, cocoamidopropyl betain, lauryl glucoside**, sodium cocoyl glutamate, vegetable glycerine, soy lecithin, cold pressed wheatgerm (triticum aestivum) oil , potassium sorbate, gluconolactone, ethylhexylglycerin, caprylyl glycol, sodium gluconate**, natural preservative blend of herbs and essential oils, citric acid (pH adjuster).Ingredients such as Neem, Chandan and bitter orange peel that are revered in Ayurveda for their antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties make a well formulated Ayurvedic face wash.
My Thoughts:
The Silk Splash Neem- Bitter Orange Rehydrant Face Wash: After using this face wash for about two weeks here is my take on the product.
- -Easy to carry, especially while travelling.
- Benefits of natural products like Neem, Chandan, (Sandalwood) and Honey.
- Like the name Silk Splash, it makes my skin feel nice,silky and soft after use.
- Lathers well and removes grime and dirt easily.
- Nice fragrance.(I love the sweet smell that comes out as I remove the cap).
- Paraben,chemicals and SLS/SLES free.
- Does not strip off natural oils from the skin.My skin does not feel dry after use.But I do have to use a moisturiser after cleansing as I have an extremely dry skin. But then that is a step in a good beauty regime.
- A little on the higher side for a face wash. (Rs 495/ for a 100 ml bottle), almost a luxury!
